Paula Henze’s 18 hand Holsteiner gelding Bravmisso, affectionately know as “Chunky Monkey” by his fan’s, is retiring from active dressage duty at 17 years young. Lovable Chunky’s sense of humor and tremendous work ethic have endeared him to all in Sonoma Chapter through the years. This big moose warmblood (Cor de La Bryere) with the heart and temperament of a Labrador Retriever, gently accepts carrots & cookies from adults and knee high adoring kids. Chunky started his show career with Paula Henze as a five year old in the “95 Futurity. He progressed through the levels with Paula, and for the last three years has been partnered with Nick Bertelli. This impressive duo received awards through Prix St George, including 2006 PSG USDF Breed Award and 2006 PSG Holsteiner third place. “ The Chunk Star” still holds court at Renaissance Farm for all his groupies - come visit... but don’t forget the carrots & cookies.

First there is his very rare and sought after bloodlines. His pedigree contains some of the finest horses ever...with Gauguin De Lully, Inschallah x, Rubenstein l, Donnerhall, Bolero, Ideal, just to namea few. Next there is his flawless conformation, huge elastic gaits, and charismatic personality.
